For years, Veteran Legacy has emphasized that education—not just eligibility—is one of the biggest barriers to veteran homeownership. Congress agreed.
The VALID Act strengthens the disclosure process so VA-eligible borrowers receive better information when comparing their mortgage options. Its purpose is simple: help ensure veterans understand their VA home loan benefit before choosing another loan program.
Congress strengthened consumer protections for VA-eligible homebuyers by enacting provisions that improve military-service identification and require better VA loan comparisons during the mortgage process.
